Krillin

Neutral Human Monk

Upon entering Alkenstar to take a brief rest from the road, a group of ruffians approached Krillin. They began to harass him, making rude comments about his appearance and then asked him to pay an entrance fee to enter the city. Knowing there was no such fee and this was just a shakedown, Krillin refused. The ruffians surrounded him and tried to attack him. With his lifelong training in martial arts, he was able to knock them all out with ease. Only once they were all unconscious on the ground, did he notice their deputy badges. He heard a sudden bang and then felt pain on his shoulder. Off in the distance he heard a voice call out, "This is Shieldmarshal Loveless. You're under arrest, you filthy criminal. Surrender now or I'll have your head." Knowing he had no other option, he ran further into the city...

Shortly after this encounter, Gurn started to notice wanted posters with his face on front and centre accused of murder by one his patented poisons. It was then that Gurn promised Seymour he would taste of Loveless' blood and whoever else was behind the setup.

Saren

Chaotic Neutral Elf Gunslinger

Saren once had a normal life, he was married to a human woman and had a child. He loved them both very much, however his long lifespan meant he had to watch his wife grow old and die. His Son grew up and went on to lead his own life. With the death of his wife, he left his life behind in search of a new life. he doesn't remember exactly why he chose the Mana Wastes, maybe the adventure, or maybe he just wanted to go somewhere dangerous to increase his chances of dying so he can see his wife again in the next life. Saren was caught in a Mana storm in the Mana Wastes. he barely made it out alive and was severely injured. he was saved by a man from Alkenstar named Shamus, who sheltered him and took care of him in his home in Hellside. One Day Saren awoke to a scuffle, he could hear someone beating Shamus and yelling about the money he owed him. Saren tried to get up but was unable to move due to his wounds. by the time the beating was done Shamus was dead. When Saren Healed up he went out to find the man who killed Shamus, the one man who had showed him kindness. He took Shamus's Rifle off of the wall and went hunting. He searched for weeks but eventually found the man responsible. a low level bookie from hotfoot hippodrome. He never fired a gun before but he took to it like a natural. His first shot at a live target was a thing of beauty as it exploded the bookies head into pink mist from 200 yards away.

Saren Found that killing the man did not affect him like he thought it would, a part of him actually liked it, especially the part where he got to kill a bad person and inflict his own form of justice. He started taking out contracts in Alkenstar to kill people, with only 2 rules, they had to be bad people and no women or children, His Talents didn't go unnoticed for long, he was contacted by nefarious mogul Ambrose Mugland. Ambrose hired Saren to kill many people, political rivals, gang land targets, and even other assassins. this went on for about a year until Ambrose hired Saren to kill a man in Skyside. He was told the target would be alone, but his family was with him. Ambrose ordered Saren to take out everyone in the room, no witnesses he said. Saren Refused to kill the family, his personal code would not allow his to do it. he could only think of 1 way out, to kill the man but leave the family. Ambrose was furious, if the family saw Saren there was a good chance it would lead back to him! Ambrose Sent loveless to finish off the family and set Saren up to take the fall. loveless sent her forces to bring in Saren, but Saren is not so easily captured. he killed her thugs and has been on the run ever since. Saren knows the only way to free himself from the price on his head is to kill Ambrose Mugland, and Loveless. Revenge is all he knows know and he will not rest until they are dead!
